Week 6 Thursday Night Football Preview: Seattle vs Denver
October 14, 20265 min readUpdated October 14, 2026

Seattle arrives at Empower Field at Mile High for Thursday Night Football as the rarer kind of favorite, a road team the market prices above the home side. As of October 14 at 2:48 PM ET, the game-winner market implies Seattle at 56% and Denver at 44%.
Kickoff is Thursday, October 15 at 8:15 p.m. ET, with coverage on Amazon Prime Video. In our read, 56% is the narrowest sort of edge a favorite can hold, and the defensive numbers below are where that edge comes from.

Seattle Seahawks at Denver Broncos
The market
Seattle is the market's implied favorite at 56%, with Denver at 44%. Denver is the home team and still the lower-priced side; in our view, the market is not pricing in the home-field advantage it usually does.
The numbers
Seattle is 3-2 this season, scoring 26.8 points per game and conceding 21. Denver is also 3-2 across its last five, scoring 19.4 points per game and conceding 22.2. Seattle lost 29-32 at home to San Francisco on October 11, and Denver won 23-17 at the Los Angeles Chargers the same day.
Seattle is allowing 150.8 passing yards and 100.4 rushing yards per game this season, while Denver is allowing 202.2 passing yards and 145.2 rushing yards per game.
Denver has the better third-down conversion rate season, converting 33.8% to Seattle's 29.8%. Quarterback output was thin on both sides in week 5, as Bo Nix threw for 123 yards and a touchdown on 27 attempts, while Sam Darnold threw for 116 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions on 21 attempts.
The player markets
The matchup page lists 82 markets across 36 types. At that same capture time, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is priced at 46% to score a touchdown and Emanuel Wilson at 45%, both for Seattle, with Denver's J.K. Dobbins at 34%.
Each of the three is a yes/no market on one player reaching the end zone, so each settles in the affirmative only if that player scores at any point in the game.
Smith-Njigba caught three passes for 58 yards and a touchdown against San Francisco on October 11. Wilson ran 18 times for 58 yards and a touchdown in that same game, and Dobbins ran 18 times for 68 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers.
Reading those three lines, each market looks more dependent on red-zone and goal-line work than on raw volume. See markets for Seahawks vs Broncos.
New to event contracts?
Fanatics Markets provides a place where you can trade event contracts on real-world outcomes. A price is the market's implied probability — a 56-cent contract implies about a 56% chance. If the outcome happens, the contract pays $1. If it does not, the contract pays nothing and you lose the 56 cents you paid.
